Ok ladies, I'm going to speak of something that is near and dear to our hearts. Well, maybe not so much as dear. I hope you’re not offended by my blunt and uncensored talk. I’m not going to sugar coat anything. You need the FACTS about, and I mean the FACTS! about YEAST INFECTIONS. Yep, vaginal yeast infections which are nasty and annoying and sometimes are referred to as Tropicalis or Candida.Yeast infections are not debilitating or life-threatening but annoying, uncomfortable, embarrassing and frankly can be rather disgusting. Here's some information that you need to have. Several years back the US government changed the rules so that we didn't have to have prescriptions for ointments to treat yeast infections. We're talking office visit $80.00, plus vaginal swab and lab costs another $50.00 and prescription drugs another $25.00. (Conservative prices by today’s standards.) With this change, Drug companies started pounding the air-waves to hype their yeast infection products and so suddenly everyone became super sensitive that any vaginal itch, discomfort or sensation in their nether regions meant it was a yeast infection. So now we're running around filling our crotches with all sorts of over-the-counter medications thinking "oh no YEAST INFECTION! This mania created a new problem, "yeast resistant drugs" or “resistive strains of bacteria”. If you don't have a yeast infection - you don’t need to take these drugs. If you are taking these over-the-counter drugs, and don’t have a yeast infection, you are probably creating your own personal bacterial resistance. So the first step here is really in identifying if you have a yeast infection. Now a doctor can tell for sure if you have a mini "micro-brewery" occurring by taking a swab and getting it analyzed. But you can check yourself. By doing the following simple steps you can either eliminate or verify the presence of a Yeast Infection. Here are the major Yeast Infection Symptoms. Step 1: ODOR - smells pretty much “yeasty”. Usually there’s not a really awful “infected” smell to yeast infections. As a general rule if there’s a foul nasty smelly discharge you should see a doctor. Foul nasty smelly discharges are NOT a symptom of yeast infections. Step 2: FEELING - a burning sensation, soreness, an intense itching localized in your vagina and vulva (the skin that surrounds your vagina). This itching doesn’t always happen but it can get so bad that you can hardly walk. There can be pain during intercourse and/or urination. Any accompanying lower back pain can be something of a more serious nature like a Urinary Tract Infection “UTI”. Consult a doctor if you suspect a UTI. Step 3: OBSERVATION - Though vaginal discharge is not always present, but when it occurs it typically has a whitish thick appearance like the texture of cottage cheese. These can range from thick and not clumpy to slightly yellow to thin and clear. Remember dark yellow, green, brown or bloody discharges are NOT yeast infections and a doctor should immediately be consulted. The remedy? Buy Provie’s Taheebo – 100% Pure Pau D’ Arco extract. An anti-fungal herb. It is often called the number one treatment for Candida or yeast infections.
